A NEW FOUR-PARAMETER DISTRIBUTION: PROPERTIES AND APPLICATIONS
Authors
Abstract:
In this paper a new four-parameter lifetime distribution named “the Exponentiated gompertz-poisson (E-GP) distribution” has been suggested that it has a decreasing, increasing, bathtub-shaped and inverse bathtub-shape for modeling lifetime data. The Exponentiated gompertz-poisson has applications in economics, actuarial modelling, reliability modeling, lifetime and queuing problems and biological sciences. Firstly, the mathematical and statistical characteristics of the proposed distribution are presented, then the applications of the new distribution are studied using the real data set. Its first moment about origin and moments about mean have been obtained and expressions for skewness, kurtosis have been given. Various mathematical and statistical properties of the proposed distribution have been discussed. Estimation of its parameter has been discussed using the method of maximum likelihood. In the end, two applications of the new distribution have been discussed with two real lifetime data sets. The results also confirmed the suitability of the presented models for real data collection.

A New Five-Parameter Distribution: Properties and Applications
In this paper, a new five-parameter lifetime and reliability distribution named “the exponentiated Uniform-Pareto distribution (EU-PD),” has been suggested that it has a bathtub-shaped and inverse bathtub-shape for modeling lifetime data. This distribution has applications in economics, actuarial modelling, reliability modeling, lifetime and biological sciences. Firstly, the mathematical and st...
full textA New Modified Weibull Distribution and Its Applications
In this paper we introduce a four-parameter generalized Weibull distribution. This new distribution has a more general form of failure rate function. It is more general for modeling than six ageing classes of life distributions with appropriate choices of parameter values, so it can display decreasing, increasing, bathtub shaped, unimodal, increasing-decreasing increasing and decreasing-increas...
full textA four-parameter quadratic distribution
Quadratic distributions such as time-frequency distributions and ambiguity functions have many useful applications. In some cases it is desirable to have a quadratic distribution of more than two variables. Using the technique of applying operators to variables, general quadratic distributions of more than two variables can be developed. We use this technique to develop a four-parameter quadrat...
full textA New Weibull-Pareto Distribution: Properties and Applications
Many distributions have been used as lifetime models. In this article, we propose a new threeparameter Weibull–Pareto distribution, which can produce the most important hazard rate shapes, namely, constant, increasing, decreasing, bathtub, and upsidedown bathtub. Various structural properties of the new distribution are derived including explicit expressions for the moments and incomplete momen...
full textFrequency Analysis of FG Sandwich Rectangular Plates with a Four-Parameter Power-Law Distribution
An accurate solution procedure based on the three-dimensional elasticity theory for the free vibration analysis of Functionally Graded Sandwich (FGS) plates is presented. Since no assumptions on stresses and displacements have been employed, it can be applied to the free vibration analysis of plates with arbitrary thickness. The two-constituent FGS plate consists of ceramic and metal graded thr...
full textThe Beta-Weibull Logaritmic Distribution: Some Properties and Applications
In this paper, we introduce a new five-parameter distribution with increasing, decreasing, bathtub-shaped failure rate called the Beta-Weibull-Logarithmic (BWL) distribution. Using the Sterling Polynomials, various properties of the new distribution such as its probability density function, its reliability and failure rate functions, quantiles and moments, R$acute{e}$nyi and Shannon entropie...
